The Engineer checks the whole ride and generator. All major rides also have an Ultrasonic Inspection every two years. On passing inspections a certificate is issued, Ultrasonic Inspection Certificate (if applicable) and Electrical Test. He will then send a copy of this paper work to The Showman's Guild of Great Britain who keeps a record of every ride. All Ride's and Amusement's must have a current Insurance and Tests Certificates to be allowed to operate.
The Health & Safety Executive does random checks through out the year.
